Melanie Häner

Born in Lugano (Switzerland), she has been studying music and dance since she was 7, continuing to harbor her passion ever since.
She has graduated in 2005 with a degree in History ans Critics of Theatre from the University of Bologna (DAMS). She then  completed a two years' part-time degree with the Bernstein School of Musical Theatre (BSMT).

Post.graduation, she has attended the Stageschool of Music, Dance & Drama Academy in Hamburg (Germany), obtaining further certification in Modern Dance.
Between 2008 and 2012 she performed in various musicals and shows as singer/dancer/actress. In 2012 she completed her Master Degree (1st) level in art and musical therapy with the University of Brescia. Meanwhile, she directed and choreographed  the teaching musical project "Il sogno di Giuseppe" (Joseph's Dream), touring in Tessin with a crew composed of 25 aspiring actors.
Between 2013 and 2015 she  worked  with the RSI RADIO TELEVISIONE SVIZZERA ITALIANA in several creative and organising roles.
She has been writing songs (music and lyrics) since 2009,  working with several other musicians until in 2013 she met composer and pianist Carlo Maria Nartoni, giving rise to the Imago Duo project, whereby music and improvisation come together unpredictably, performing since 2014 both in Switzerland and in Italy, continuing their artistic research and evelopment. This is currently her main project , together with the publication of a solo album. 
During 2016, Melanie has also taken part in a stage project with Compagnia Finzi Pasca, working closely at the poetical  "Per Te" performance at the LAC in Lugano. Such cooperation continues on and off at present times.
